Anna-Lise & Matthew // Abbotsford, Vancouver Engagement Session, Vancouver Wedding Photographer

They met through friends when they attended 'Fright Nights'. I can't remember where I heard it but to get a girl to fall in love with you, if you thrill her or excite her, put her in a moment where she needs protection and then romance her - it releases a desire to stay together. Perhaps Fright Nights isn't marketing itself correctly ;-)

After a night out again at the Guildford Station Pub - their friendship would slowly grow into something more. Some camping trips later, a road trip to Alberta and many a meal cooked together and paired with wines (Anna-lise & Matt are winos!).

What is your favourite qualities about each other?
Anna-lise said: He's calm, relaxed, easy going, fun and handsome
Matt said: family oriented, kind, good with kids, relaxed

What is your Ideal honeymoon?
Tahiti, surfing, relaxing - maybe a hut on the water with a concierge

How did the proposal go & how did he ask?
Matt made sure to get permission from Anna-Lise's father in Ontario and they went ring shopping in Seattle - 3 weeks later she was anticipating it may come. They would go out for dinner, and not yet. Then one night at Grouse Mountain after Zip-lining and a skate they had dinner on the mountain and eventually Matt opened the ring box and asked " Will You Marry Me?" Anna-Lise replied "Yes, yes, yes, yes! Put it on my finger!!"

Kim & John // Airport Vancouver Engagement and Wedding Photographer

When you have a couple who both work in aviation its only natural that their engagement session takes place at the airport! John is a pilot up north and his beautiful to be bride, Kim works with NAV Canada. We enjoyed a lovely day in the sunshine at the airport and was a blast to spend the afternoon with these two between the planes, on the tarmac and watching planes take off. I learned a lot about the two of them and even saw the first plane John ever flew and learned to fly on. How amazing is that! I couldn't imagine flying a plane as if it were so natural and like a car, you would get to see something many never would and experience such a sensation being high above the clouds and choosing your destination.

I cannot wait to be apart of their wedding next year and work with the amazing Alicia Keats, amazing Vancouver Wedding Planner!
